Sunday 31st August: Trinity 11

This weekend is the last weekend of the Summer holidays, which means we have been hosting a Model Railway Exhibition as usual. I enjoy talking to the visitors as they walk round, catching up with regulars and meeting new people. It certainly felt like we had a lot of people come today.

Thank you to Stuart Robinson, the overall organiser of these exhibitions, the exhibitors, the caterers and helpers, and those who welcome people on the door. We were pleased to be visited by the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Councillor Rich Michalowski during the day to meet both visitors and exhibitors.

I am heading back to help tidy up now, and look forward to seeing those of you who can come to the services tomorrow,

Tim

We continue to pray for Brenda Crawford, her family and friends as they prepare for the funeral service of Alan Crawford on 8th September. We are asked to pray also for the family of Derek Parsons, a Twoat supporter, following his death after a short illness.

If you would like a person to be prayed for, with the option of their being named in church and in this email, please contact the Vicar.

Parish Lunch: Sunday 7th September 1pm

Please sign up for the parish lunch for September on the list at the back of the church.

The Parish Barbeque: Sunday 14th September

This is the Sunday when we say ‘goodbye Revd Tim’ and the annual barbeque in the church grounds will be a big part of that.

As in previous years, people can just turn up to the BBQ on the day. However if you know you are coming please sign up on the list at the back of church to guide us for how many burgers, sausages, vegetarian options etc. are ordered.

There is also a list for people offering various salads and desserts.

Church Explorers (Junior Church)

Has taken a break during August and returns on Sunday 14th September at the 10 o’clock service. We look forward to welcoming new children to the group alongside welcoming back our continuing children.

The Church Choir

Have also been taking a break during August. Rehearsals start again on Friday 5th September with the Juniors at 7 pm and the adults at 7.30 pm. The choir will be pleased to welcome new singers, both adults and children. Do come and explore. Timothy Carey our organist and director of music is always pleased to talk about what joining the choir might involve.
