Sunday 24th August: Trinity 10

I hope you are enjoying the August Bank Holiday weekend. Since my last church email I have had a short holiday with Moira staying near Salisbury. This week has been Scout camp near Portsmouth which has been great fun, if my body is protesting now from joining in with the ball games and the water sports. The leaders of the various Tadworth uniformed groups do a great job, giving their time and energy for the opportunity of children and teenagers to grow in all sorts of skills and in confidence in themselves. It has been a privilege to be able to be a small part of those teams of people who lead the various sections of Scouts and Guides. I pray that people keep coming forward to help and in time for some to become the future leaders.

My God bless and sustain us,

Tim

For our Prayers

We give thanks for the life of Alan Crawford and ask for God’s love to surround Barbara Crawford, her family and friends as they prepare for the funeral service on 8th September.

We pray for people who are carers, especially those in our church who are caring for members of their family at home. May they be strengthened and sustained in their giving of care over the longer term. And we pray for those we know who are experiencing significant illness or the effects of old age.

If you would like a person to be prayed for, with the option of their being named in church and in this email, please contact the Vicar.
